Meher Angez is the first and only singer from the Gilgit-Baltistan region who has mastered the subtle mystical music and poetry. For more than 25 years, her persistent artistic work in various fields of Sufi music has crossed borders and inspired people to interfaith harmony, solidarity with the Gilgit-Baltistan region and for the equality of all human beings.

Meher Angez developed a passion for this meditative-poetic art as a child, revealing an amazing talent. She was encouraged by some respected personalities of spiritual practice. Since then she has dedicated herself to the goals of peace, harmony, unity and self-realization. With her impressive Sufi chants, she opens up opportunities for people to strengthen their positive powers, which can lead to sublime experiences of the human self.

She is accompanied in her concerts by her daughter Durr-E-Adan, who is one of the very few professional tabla players in the world, and by Ambareen, the master on the Charda-Hunzai Rubab.
