Urban Sketching Workshop mit Jens Hübner
In the organizer's words:
Under expert guidance, learn to use a wide variety of drawing materials effectively and capture your personal impressions of people, nature, and architecture in your sketchbook with just a few strokes!
Using examples at the Drink and Draw Studio and, above all, during walks outside on the Funkhaus grounds, Jens Hübner demonstrates how people, architectural details, and complex urban landscapes can be simplified to be captured in an exciting way in your sketchbook. You’ll learn how to use brushes and pencils effectively, how to skillfully position subjects on a double-page spread, and how to enhance your sketches with text, collage elements, and splashes of color—and you’ll get to try these techniques right away. During individual sketching sessions, there are plenty of opportunities for personal feedback as well as group reviews.
The course is aimed at beginners who want to learn how to create spontaneous sketches, as well as experienced urban sketchers who want to specifically refine their skills.
The workshop will be held in German and/or English, depending on the participants’ preferences.
What should I bring?
Bring the materials you already enjoy using for urban sketching. The Drink and Draw Studio provides boards, colored pencils, pencils, and watercolors.
