The estate is an illuminating example of how class differences became architecturally visible 100 years ago. And in a very small space: while the simple workers' houses dominate Glasstrasse, the masters lived next door in Germaniastrasse. And on Concordiaplatz, where both streets meet, the magnificent villas of the engineers and directors are nestled in a park. They all worked together in a company for special glass that is still in demand worldwide today. And: hipsters are in short supply in this working-class neighborhood.
