Love, sex, intoxication, glamor and the audacity to never be satisfied with less - he has it all! Or so it seems. But what happens beyond the magic of the stage? Where does the glamor of the show end and the private megalomania begin? The Physical Theatre concert Vacation from Love reveals the bittersweet "life on the road" of a singer and his love affairs with the band.
Newly interpreted songs by Canadian artist Michelle Gurevich create their own stage reality. In a mixture of live music, drag performance and dance, social norms of gender and relationship models are questioned in a humorous yet serious way. Drumsticks are thrown, people dance on the piano, drink and shout. It gets wild, irritating and entertaining. At the heart of the piece is the decision to savor life in all its nuances without being restricted by social conventions, or, as Gurevich puts it:
"Why resist temptation?"

The love, the sex, the thrill, the splendour and the audacity to never settle for less - he has it all! Or so it seems. But what happens beyond the magic of the stage? Where does the glamour of the show end and the private illusions of grandeur begin? The physical theater concert Vacation from Love reveals the bittersweet "life on the road" of a singer and the love affairs with the band.

At the center of the piece resides the decision to savour life in all its nuances without being limited by social conventions, or, as Gurevich puts it:
