VALENTINO VIVACE, born in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, is one of the most exciting newcomers on the Swiss music scene and has quickly attracted international attention with his unique blend of Italo disco, French touch, indie pop, unpretentious vocals with Italian lyrics and stylish vintage synth vibes.
Fun fact first: Fokuhila is actually a Germanized word in the Italian vocabulary and means exactly the same thing: Front-short-back-long for a hairstyle that has long stood for avant-garde class and fashion awareness. VALENTINO VIVACE wears the cut with a glamorous touch and can be sure that the disco cut more than suits him. His extraordinary style and style, a pleasantly unmacho modern interpretation of the dancey DIY 70s and 80s disco old punks, quickly made us want more.
Neo-Blitz-Kid: The Zurich-based artist first stepped into the limelight in 2022 when he released his debut album "Meteoriti" without the support of a label or management. This self-confident independence, combined with his signature sound, earned him a nomination for the Swiss Music Award in the "Best Talent" category and extensive airplay on leading radio stations such as SRF3, Couleur3, Rete Tre and Deutschlandfunk Kultur. On Spotify alone, VALENTINO VIVACE already has almost 42k monthly listeners - the best proof of his considerable popularity as a newcomer act and his growing fan community.
ButVALENTINO fans are not only fed with tracks streaming from the speakers or - très chic - available on cassette. Live magic: VALENTINO VIVACE has stage magic and his live performances are as impressive as his studio work.
Within just two years, he has played at almost all the major Swiss festivals, including the Gurtenfestival, the Openair St. Gallen, the Winterthur Music Festival, the Paléo Festival and the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival. He has also made a name for himself internationally with appearances in Milan, at the Fusion Festival near Berlin and at the MS Dockville in Hamburg. A definite highlight in addition to the performance at ESNS 25 in Groningen was the sold-out headline show at Dynamo Zurich in November '24, where a whopping 700 tickets were secured by fans in no time at all and the show was sold out three months in advance. No wonder, thanks to energetic performances and a charismatic presence:
VALENTINO VIVACE is a pretty perfect blend oflarger-than-life gestures on stage with a half-open shirt and a likeable I'm-dancing-in-the-moshpit-with-you approach. A charmingly flashing DIY stage set manifested his effervescent creativity, and his fellow musicians' 1A outfits are only outshone by a selection of vintage synths that showcase a deep love for making music. VALENTINO VIVACE grooves incredibly well with the band and has achieved a number of milestones in his young career.
The newcomer's talent has also been recognized by top-class professional partners: His current label, the boutique label Fluidostudio from Milan, as well as a network of agencies in Switzerland, Germany, Italy and France are supporting VALENTINO VIVACE on his path to an international career.
His second album "Discoteca Vivace ", which will be released in early 2025, is the eagerly awaited next step in his creative development: Inspired by the iconic Italian discotheques of the 1980s, VALENTINO VIVACEcombines hypnoticsynthesizer sounds, punchy, pulsating beats and charming vocals to create a soundtrack with a magnetic effect for the dance floors of today's danceterias.
The recordings for this album took place in VALENTINO'screative hotspot Zurich as well as in Sestri Levante, Italy. The artist's excursions into Milan's nightlife had a strong influence on the creation of the album - not only VALENTINO VIVACE fell under the spell of the legendary Italodisco, but also Arnaud Paolini and Mathieu Nuzzo, who are responsible for the production alongside VIVACE and are part of his live band.
VALENTINO kicks off his new release cycle with the release of the first single from "Discoteca Vivace", "Eroi " from October 2024 (accompanied by a cinematic Italo spaghetti western slash music video), which has already become a live crowd favorite. Further singles such as "Baia Degli Angeli", a tribute to the late Italo disco pioneer Pino D'Angiò, and "Hulahoop" will follow before the album release.
On the "Discoteca Vivace Tour 2025" accompanying the album, VALENTINO VIVACE will then transport his audience into the atmosphere of an original Italian discoteca and bring a total work of art to the stage, in which music, lighting design and visuals merge together: Darling VALENTINO VIVACE redefines the Italo disco revival scene! Warning: Attending the concert may result in danced-through shoe soles.
