This year, Cologne-Kalk will once again be the meeting place for all those who want to enjoy the magic of Christmas in an animal-friendly and sustainable way. The Veihnachtsmarkt, the only purely vegan Christmas market in Cologne, will open its doors on December 7-8 and 14-15, 2024 on the grounds of the Jesus-Christus-Kirche in Kalk. Visitors can expect a unique experience that focuses on sustainability, creativity and community.

The Veihnachtsmarkt offers everything your (vegan) heart desires: from crispy potato pancakes and freshly baked waffles to hearty burritos and spicy mulled wine, culinary highlights are guaranteed. All dishes and drinks are organic and vegan, and the wide variety of stalls show that indulgence at Christmas can also be sustainable.

In addition to culinary delights, the market offers a stage for local artists and creatives. RosaRot e.V., the organizer of the market, has been committed to promoting art and culture in Cologne since 2021 - especially supporting disadvantaged groups and regional talent. The Veihnachtsmarkt is also a platform for arts and crafts from the region: creative people present their handmade jewelry, fashion, accessories and decorations, contributing to the festive and sustainable atmosphere.

A colorful family program ensures that the youngest visitors also get their money's worth. Whether light shows, live music or the play mobile - the Veihnachtsmarkt will be a place of joy where the values of community, friendship and mindfulness are lived and shared.

Opening hours
The Veihnachtsmarkt is open on the two Advent weekends, December 7 + 8 and 14 + 15, 2024, from 12:00 to 20:00. Admission is free.
