VERNISSAGE: ERÖFFNUNG VON KÖNIG BERGSON — mit Ausstellung von Monira Al Qadiri

KÖNIG BERGSON presents Monira Al Qadiri's solo exhibition SILOED BEINGS, which opens the gallery spaces in the silos of the former heating plant.

On May 7, Monira Al Qadiri's exhibition "Siloed Beings" opens the atrium and the silo.
On July 12, the new building on the Kulturareal is officially opened with a large group exhibition. Spread over four floors with a total of 1,600 square meters and a bookshop, the new building will form the heart of KÖNIG BERGSON.

The silo is located on one level at a height of over 15 meters in the gutted former coal silos. The 200 square meters of exhibition space in the silo are divided into four cabinets, which are connected by a walkway in the central corridor.

All the exhibition spaces together will be among the largest commercial gallery spaces for contemporary art in Germany.

About the artist: Al Qadiri, who was born in Senegal, grew up in Kuwait and currently lives in Berlin, is showing works from her series "Benzene Float", which deal with the raw material crude oil. Sculptures and small-format works by Al Qadiri will be on display here from May 7.

The "Siloed Beings" exhibition runs until June 30 and is open to the public daily from May 8 from 11 am to 7 pm!
