VFL Gummersbach vs. Füchse Berlin

Following the successful debut of this season’s highlight at the LANXESS arena during the 2024–25 season, VfL Gummersbach fans can once again look forward to a top-tier Bundesliga match in Cologne during the upcoming 2026–27 season. While 16 of the 17 home games in the Opel HBL will be played at the SCHWALBE arena as usual, the Oberberg team will head back to the LANXESS arena for a special matchup just before Christmas. On December 22, 2026, Gummersbach will face Füchse Berlin once again in Cologne for the final game of the calendar year. From a sporting perspective, the match is a rematch of the two teams’ last encounter at the LANXESS arena, when Berlin won a thrilling match that remained close for long stretches on December 26, 2024, with a score of 29–22.

Advance ticket sales for additional tickets for Bundesliga season ticket holders will begin on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Season ticket holders already have access to this highlight game included in their 2026–27 season ticket and will receive exclusive access to additional tickets for three days. When advance sales begin, each season ticket holder will be assigned a section in the lower tier of the LANXESS arena corresponding to their section in the SCHWALBE arena, and a corresponding day ticket will be mailed to them. To ensure that season ticket holders can sit together with friends and family for whom they purchase additional tickets, if they so desire, free seating is available in these sections. At the same time as the VfL’s advance ticket sales for season ticket holders begin, the LANXESS arena will also start selling its ticket allocation on July 14, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.

General advance sales of the VfL Gummersbach allocation for all fans will begin three days later, on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Since VfL Gummersbach and the LANXESS arena work with two different ticket providers, 50 percent of the allocation is managed by Ticketmaster and 50 percent by Eventim. Accordingly, tickets can be purchased both from VfL Gummersbach’s ticket provider, Ticketmaster, via www.vfl-gummersbach.de/tickets/, and from the LANXESS arena’s ticket provider, Eventim, through a corresponding customer account. Tickets are available starting at 16 euros.

Sections 201, 202, 203, 204, 208, 210, 211, 212, 216, 217, 219, and 220 (all in the lower tier, according to the Ticketmaster seating chart). In these sections, seating is first-come, first-served on the day of the event.
