VIMALA PONS Honda Romance

Vimala Pons is a multimedia and performance artist and French acting star: in 2026, she was awarded the César for her role in the feature film "What unites us", and her latest theater performance HONDA ROMANCE sold out for weeks at the Odéon Théâtre de l'Europe in Paris. With this play for large stages, the Frenchwoman, who was born in India in 1983, is now coming to Hamburg for the first time - and showing what it means to go through 300 different emotional states in 75 minutes. HONDA ROMANCE consists of three parts, in which Vimala Pons first balances a giant satellite on her head and is then thrown back and forth between compressed air cannons in a tour de force with the resilience of a karate fighter (which she also is). The evening ends with a large catwalk choreography consisting of 150 different movements for nine singers (music: Rebeka Warrior) - and thus once again finds an impressive image for the theme of this evening: the human being in search of (emotional) balance, who stubbornly resists all adversity and tries to get up again and again, on stage as well as in life.
