Anyone can find themselves in a situation—due to unforeseen events or as they age—where they are no longer able to manage important matters on their own.

In the workshop “Planning Ahead with a Living Will,” you’ll gain insight into the situations in which a living will can be used, what you can specify in the living will and its accompanying notes, and how to store the living will. The event will also address how to ensure your medical wishes are carried out. In addition, you’ll receive forms to fill out later.

This presentation is part of a two-part series. Both presentations can be attended separately. On October 15, there will be a presentation on power of attorney for healthcare.

The Munich Child Protection Guardianship Association (Betreuungsverein Kinderschutz München e.V.) is one of eight guardianship associations operating on behalf of the City of Munich.

The association provides information and advice in the Schwabing and Freimann districts through one-on-one consultations, presentations, and training sessions on the topics of legal guardianship, advance planning through a power of attorney, guardianship directives, and advance healthcare directives. In addition, family members and volunteers appointed as legal guardians by the local court receive training. Furthermore, the association’s staff members themselves serve as legal guardians.
