Vorsorge durch Vorsorgevollmacht und Betreuungsverfügung

In the seminar “Planning Ahead with a Power of Attorney and a Care Directive,” we explain why even family members, children, and spouses can only act on your behalf if they are authorized to do so by a power of attorney. We’ll explain the difference between these documents and legal guardianship, discuss the various options for drafting a power of attorney, and provide practical advice on how to store and register your power of attorney. In addition, we’ll discuss your options if there’s no trusted person in your circle whom you can authorize. You’ll also receive the standard forms to fill out later.

The Munich Child Protection Guardianship Association (Betreuungsverein Kinderschutz München e.V.) is one of eight guardianship associations operating on behalf of the City of Munich. The association provides information and advice in the Schwabing and Freimann districts through one-on-one consultations, presentations, and training sessions on the topics of legal guardianship, advance planning through a power of attorney, guardianship directives, and living wills.

In addition, family members and volunteers appointed as legal guardians by the local court receive training and guidance for their roles. Furthermore, the association’s staff members themselves serve as legal guardians.
