Waves explores listening.
Listening as an invisible field of contact, as a point of contact between people, as a vehicle through strange worlds of sound and as a way back into the moment.

Improvised and composed music for cello and percussion by Viktor Suslin, Anatolijus Šenderovas and James Tenney, among others, meet in a sound wave dance. Guided listening experiments based on Pauline Olivero's Deep Listening and interactive sound improvisations encourage listeners to discover, question and eavesdrop on their own listening.

The concert hall becomes a listening laboratory, an interactive soundscape, a place where presence begins to sound.

This concert is the public presentation of an artistic-social scholarship project that was developedin the third year of training at the TONALi Stage Academy. The result will be presented here in its full artistic form. It is the conclusion of a one-year process in which the academy students founded their own projects, worked together with mentors and set new impulses for an open concert culture.
