In the organizer's words:
Bremen without the Weser? Unimaginable. The river shapes our city and entire regions. We walk along its banks, swim in its waters and live with it. But how is the river itself doing? Since the 19th century, humans have intervened deeply in its course and its biodiversity - with noticeable consequences for nature and people. What would the Weser tell us if it could speak? And what would it mean to grant it its own rights? The exhibition invites us to take a fresh look at the Weser and reflect on our relationship with nature as a whole.
