Witches, Bitches, It-Girls – Lesung mit Rebekka Endler

In her new book, bestselling author Rebekka Endler gets to the bottom of the causes of patriarchy and examines misogynistic myths that still determine our thoughts and actions today.

In her view, the explanation "men and power" falls far too short, and so she asks: What makes so many women still dream of a Prince Charming to save them today? What is behind the mommy blogger wave, and what function do images of women such as bitches, witches, bitches and it-girls have?

By examining canonization in art and the era of Romanticism, so-called feminist waves, cancel culture and trans hostility, she succeeds in showing that patriarchy really exists, how we all play a part in keeping it going day after day - and how it can be overcome. Witches, Bitches, It-Girls is an anecdotal search for clues, quick-witted, combative and full of unexpected insights.
