Zine-Lab im Dezember

In the organizer's words:

Here's what the organizer says:

Zine Lab in November: Drawing, Printing, Collage
An evening of analog self-publishing

Zines (derived from “magazine”) are small, homemade booklets that are usually created from a single sheet of paper—folded and creased according to a specific pattern.

Zines are raw, direct, and personal. They emerge from the moment—a blend of sketches, text, images, and chance. In this workshop, participants will create their own small booklet: from the initial idea to the printed zine in their hands.

The course is aimed at people who, after the workweek, want to switch off: to learn something new, to be creative without the pressure to perform, or simply to work with analog media again.

No prior experience is necessary—curiosity is all you need.

What we’ll do:
On a relaxed Friday afternoon, we’ll explore classic drawing and printing techniques and freely combine them:

• Drawing with graphite, ink, and marker

• Working with line, shape, text, and image

• Introduction to simple linocut techniques

• Collage with found materials, text fragments, and images

• Layout, folding, and reproduction of zines
The focus is not on “perfect” results, but on expression, attitude, and the joy of creating. Sketches may remain visible; mistakes become part of the design.

Format & Atmosphere:
The workshop is designed as an open, experimental space: brief introductions, plenty of independent work, and group discussion. Music, coffee, conversation—more like a studio than a classroom. Everyone works at their own pace and creates a unique zine or several small booklets.

At the end, each person will hold a self-designed zine in their hands—to take home, swap, or build upon.

Who this workshop is for:

  • For after-work folks who want to unwind creatively on the weekend
  • For curious people who want to try their hand at drawing, printing, or collage
  • For anyone interested in analog processes and small publications

Our goal:
The workshop introduces accessible artistic techniques and demonstrates that art doesn’t have to be big, expensive, or elitist—sometimes all you need is a sheet of paper, a pencil, and a good idea.
