In her new production, choreographer and dancer Zufit Simon explores the body language of aggression, power games and violence. The production plays with almost imperceptibly changing gestures, resulting in a variety of associations and a continuous change of status between power and powerlessness. Inspired by the image of the boxing club - a hidden, ritualized space of male self-testing - a performative space is created, a kind of ring that questions and deconstructs body images, power relations and gender stereotypes. it is a piece about fighting - as an act of resistance, as a ritual of self-assertion and as a way of inventing new communities.
On 29.04. there will be an audience discussion following the performance.
