The current developments in Israel and the Palestinian territories have not left local Christians untouched. Their situation and position varies greatly depending on their living environment. They often have the impression that they are not only "caught between two stools", but also "caught between the fronts". The lecture attempts to describe their respective situations, explain the historical background and ask: Can they make a contribution to peace? And do they have a future in the homeland of Jesus?

Dr. Georg Röwekamp, born in 1959, theologian and historian. Managing Director and Theological Director of Biblical Journeys until 2016, then Representative of the German Association of the Holy Land in Jerusalem until 2025 and Director of the Tabgha Pilgrim House on Lake Gennesaret. Numerous publications on the history of pilgrimage and the Holy Land (most recently: Christians in the Gaza Region. A Forgotten History).
