In November 2022, the Amuseum of Contemporary Art opened its doors as the first institution to date internationally to dedicate itself to this still young genre in a well-founded and at the same time authentic manner in direct collaboration with the most formative players of the international street art movement.

The content of the museum's work is based on more than a decade of intensive exchange and collaboration between the Positive-Propaganda art association and the pioneers of the street art movement, including Shepard Fairey, BLU and Mark Jenkins.
This personal, non-commercial connection resulted in the unique opportunity to authentically accompany and document first-hand the history as well as the work of the actors, who usually acted anonymously.

In personal exchange and in cooperation with the individual actors, the Amuseum develops and implements avant-garde exhibition concepts on socially relevant topics. In addition, the museum conceives well-founded publications as well as a multifaceted exhibition program, which offers an in-depth insight into the contents dealt with in the works. Our aim is not only to arouse interest in street art and art in general, but also to create a public space for cross-societal dialogue and discourse.

The museum framework of the Amuseum of Contemporary Art forms the non-profit foundation to record and reproduce the knowledge about the intention, the artistic creation as well as the history of the socially critical Street Art movement for future generations in a sustainable and unaltered way in order to make it permanently accessible to a broad public.
