The picturesque location between the Rhine and the most beautiful part of the old town fits the flair for which the Zicke is loved: A mix of French bistro and Berlin corner pub. The walls are adorned with movie posters that hardly anyone knows anymore, others are reminiscent of art exhibitions from 30 years ago, of which no one could have known at the time how great they actually were. The rooms exude the beautiful traces of an enjoyable evening without regrets with animated conversations at large marble tables.
The bistro offers a wide selection of delicious, freshly prepared dishes in a variety of national styles - from Japanese miso soup to Brazilian moqueca de pesce to an original Italian bruschetta. Two daily changing menus complement the fixed menu, in which vegetarian and vegan delicacies are specially marked.
We attach particular importance to the absolute freshness of the ingredients selected according to regional and seasonal aspects. We cook fresh, ready-made products are not offered.
We have put together our wine list with great care and pleasure. Regional wine scouts regularly provide us with trendy insider tips. The Zicke is proud of its offer, which contains fresh Baden wines as well as noble French wines and rich Spanish red wines, matured in the dry heat of la Mancha.
