The Oldenburg State Theater employs around 450 people and covers a broad artistic spectrum. In the opera, concert, drama, ballet, young state theater, Low German drama and section 7, which offers space for interdisciplinary and experimental productions, more than 30 premieres and over 25 concerts are on the program every season. The Oldenburg State Theatre has four venues and thus serves a wide catchment area in the northwest. With the help of theater education, one of the Staatstheater's main goals is to open doors between audiences and productions, between regular visitors and those who are still hesitant, between inside and outside, as part of cultural participation and education, and also to offer the opportunity to become active oneself.
