Since it opened in 1991, theTheater 509 cabaret venuehas been regarded as Cologne’s premier destination for new cabaret and comedy productions and a launching pad for a wide range of artistic projects and developments. Audiences love this venue high above the rooftops of Cologne (5th floor), not least because of its intimate size, welcoming atmosphere, and pricing.
Concerts and exhibitions round out a program that is significant to Cologne’s cultural landscape because it is innovative and synergistic.

Our on-site parking lot fills up quickly on event days. Our tip: The Novotel underground parking garage (Bayenstrasse 51) is the most affordable option. Also very close by, but not as affordable, is the Rheinauhafen underground parking garage (Harry Blum Platz 2).

If a line ever forms in front of or inside the Stollwerck building, as a visitor to Theater 509, you can always walk past it and go directly to the 5th floor (there’s also an elevator). The line is then for an event in the auditorium on the 1st floor and NOT for Theater 509 on the 5th floor.

Drinks and snacks will be available in the Theater Lounge on the 5th floor starting one hour before the event begins.
