Detective Hildur Rúnarsdóttir supports the farmers in the Westfjords during the annual sheep round-up in the mountains. They come across a dead woman in a lonely valley. She is a German woman who worked for a hotel chain in Reykjavík. What initially looks like a hiking accident turns out to be a murder. Aunt Tinna notices a parallel to Hildur's very first murder case 25 years ago. Has the same perpetrator struck again? While Hildur tries to link the clues from the past with those from the present, Tinna also searches for answers ...

Over twenty years ago, Satu Rämö from Finland moved to Iceland for a semester abroad. Today she lives with her Icelandic husband and two children in the small town of Ísafjörður in northwest Iceland. After numerous successful non-fiction books in which she writes about her adopted country, she celebrated her debut as a crime writer with the series about the extraordinary investigator Hildur Rúnarsdóttir, which has sold over a million copies worldwide.

Julia Nachtmann was a long-time member of the ensemble at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg and can now be seen on various stages. She was awarded the Boy Gobert Prize. The actress has also appeared in the cinema comedy "Die Kirche bleibt im Dorf" and in television productions such as "Nord Nord Mord" and "Das Geheimnis des Totenwaldes".

Peter Twiehaus, born in Erlangen in 1967, studied in Berlin and Paris. After working for RIAS and Deutsche Welle, he now works primarily for rbb and ZDF. Since 2013, Twiehaus has been the film expert for the ZDF morning show, where he presents the weekly film releases under the heading Filmtipps von Peter Twiehaus.
