Alma Naidu

Alma Naidu is an award-winning singer, composer and lyricist from Munich. The Süddeutsche Zeitung described her as "one of the greatest singers on the German scene", while Jazzthing magazine praised her "delicate, wonderfully clear voice with absolutely perfect intonation". Naidu has received the BMW Welt Young Artist Jazz Award, the Kurt Maas Jazz Award and the Bavarian Young Talent Award. She studied jazz singing and jazz composition in Munich, Cologne and London.

Her debut album "Alma" presented her personal sound rooted in jazz and the singer-songwriter tradition and secured her a place in the top 10 of the German jazz charts. Since then, the classically and jazz-trained artist has been touring internationally with her band and performing in Europe and Asia.

Her self-produced second album "REDEFINE" was released in May 2025 by Leopard Records and entered the German jazz charts at number 3. It also placed in the top 100 of the regular official German album charts. Influenced by jazz, classical music, cinematic soundscapes and the songwriting of artists such as Sting, Becca Stevens and Billy Joel, Naidu combines rich harmonies, acoustic textures and poetic lyricism. Her music explores identity, self-determination and the questioning of stereotypes, creating a soulful sound that is both intimate and expansive.
