As twin brothers, Amistat - Josef and Jan Prasil - share an unspoken and inexplicable bond that is best sung aloud. The power of this bond runs through their familial harmonies and eloquent songcraft, accented by individual idiosyncrasies. Their music functions like stories with two narrators, giving both voices room to unfold. Born in Germany with roots in the Czech Republic and Australia, Josef and Jan grow up in Italy until high school. After five years back in Germany, the brothers decide to move to Australia and establish their collaborative musical project Amistat. In 2019, the two singers and musicians are putting down roots in their hometown of Rosenheim again and turning inward for new inspiration. "We are so different, but when it comes to music, we agree," Jan notes. "We grew up listening to the same songs. When you harmonize with a sibling, it's different than harmonizing with someone you're not related to."

After a sold-out European tour in the spring of 2023 with over 10,000 tickets sold, the duo will now return to the stage for a few additional concerts in the fall.
