Tasteful music festivals agreed this year: Ana Frango Elétrico, Grammy-nominated singer*, multi-instrumentalist*, producer* and visual artist*, will be on the big stages in August, from the Finnish Flow Festival to Gilles Peterson's exquisite We Out Here Festival - and will open the summer festival at the Kampnagel Club. The "Brazilian wunderkind" (Clash Music) combines Brazilian musical traditions such as bossa nova, MPB, samba and tropicália with modern influences from indie pop to jazz to create contemporary pop that is as playful as it is sophisticated. The latest release "A Sua Diversão / Não Tem Nada Não" features two tracks that showcase the breadth of her work, which ranges from collaborations with legends such as Marcos Valle (Summer Festival 2023) to contemporary voices such as Dora Morelenbaum (2024 at the Überjazz Festival at Kampnagel). Ana Frango Elétrico "builds bridges, rethinks genres and shows that Brazilian music can be more than just tradition" (HHV Mag). After sold-out concerts in over eleven countries so far, Ana Frango Elétrico is now coming to the festival opening as a pioneer of modern Brazilian music - which will then continue through the festival with Arthur Verocai's concert in the Elbphilharmonie.
