What does it mean to be a child of all countries and thus of none? The story of the ten-year-old protagonist Kully, who flees across Europe with her parents from the Nazis - is complemented by stories of people who themselves emigrated to Germany as children, such as the author and performer Luna Ali, who fled to Germany from Syria with her family, and the German-Iranian Damon Taleghani, whose parents in turn fled Iran. The two 10-year-old co-actors Zümra Köseoglu and Rokia Karschnia take the perspective of Irmgard Keun's Kully and hold up a mirror to the adults. The texts are collaboratively perpetuated; translated into different languages and musicalized by Sascha Sulimma and French musician Frédéric Bigot. The stage design by the multidisciplinary artist Hila Flashkes from Tel Aviv is inspired by the pop-up technique of corresponding pop-up children's books: a giant shark's teeth dominate the stage and constantly change shape: teeth that look like a fence at one moment, like the keys of a piano at another, the audience must decide for themselves whether friend or foe.
