Artist Talk mit Miriam Salamander
In the organizer's words:
Miriam Salamander is a visual artist based in Munich. Her primary medium is paper—a material that retains traces, absorbs the imprints of other substances, and can simultaneously be transformed into three-dimensional forms. Through folding, compression, and structural interventions, Miriam Salamander highlights paper as a medium for signs, writing, and information. In her exploration of material, symbolism, and spatial transformation, she creates two-dimensional and sculptural works in a medium that is constantly changing.
For the exhibition “Literature & Attitude: Rachel Salamander’s Archive,” Miriam Salamander has designed several sculptural objects. She speaks with Felicitas Friedrich about the concept, materials, and creation of the work.
