Atelier C1 DCH

Atelier C1 DCH was founded in 2022 as a German-Swiss artists' collective by 10 artists from various German-speaking regions of Europe.

A wide variety of artistic approaches and techniques, from detailed botanical drawings to impulsive acrylic paintings on square-meter canvases, from delicate wire sculptures to room-high installations, are an expression of the artistic examination of current world events and the diverse individual perspectives and reactions to them. Non-standardized as a program, united in a collective.

Ungenormt - between tension and resistance

At Bürgerhaus Stollwerck in Cologne's Südstadt district, the Atelier C1 DCH group will be showing from April 6 to May 5, 2024 that diversity does not divide, but enriches and enlivens.

Düsseldorf artist Edith Oellers will speak at the opening, which begins at 6 p.m. on April 6.

The opportunity to exhibit in this cult site of political resistance (in 1980, a 49-day squat began in the former factory premises of the Stollwerck chocolate factory, from which a cultural center emerged) is both an incentive and an honor for the artists' group.
