They want to step out of the art academy institution and into the city, create a shared stage and exchange ideas, share texts, read, listen and discuss. This time with us: Thea Mantwill, Jeanne van Eeden and Maryam Aras. The moderators are Marie Menke and Irma Mečević.

Thea Mantwill, born in 1990 in Gräfelfing, studied at the art academies in Karlsruhe and Düsseldorf, where she graduated as a master student of John Morgan. Her works are multimedia and combine texts with visual art. Mantwill lives and works in Düsseldorf.

Jeanne van Eeden was born in 94 in Kölle am Rhing. Now she has to live. After various studies in the humanities, Jeanne began her next studies in Cologne - at the KHM. With a focus on video art and literary writing, she deals with invisible transactions in her artistic work and uses various media to search for clues. The documentation of interiority is of particular importance: any reflection on the world is preceded by contact with it. Anyone who pursues the inner reaches the outer. Jeanne calls this art, others call it paranoia. Kölle Alaaf.

Maryam Aras was born in Cologne in 1982, where she still lives today. She studied Islamic Studies, English and Political Science in Cologne and Bonn. She writes literary criticism and essays and examines patterns of reception in German-language literary studies and feature articles from a power-critical perspective. In 2022, she was appointed to the jury for the Leipzig Book Fair Prize. She received a working grant from the Kunststiftung NRW for Dinosaurierkind.
