AXEL FISCHBACHER TRIO FEAT. SOPHIA OSTER

With the vinyl release "Bebop Sketches" the Axel Fischbacher Trio 2022 has landed a big hit; the limited LP with idiosyncratic interpretations of jazz standards was celebrated in the trade press and is already almost sold out. Axel Fischbacher (guitar), Nico Brandenburg (double bass) and Tim Dudek (drums) are each in their own right greats of the German jazz scene and have been a well-rehearsed team for years that handles the pieces wonderfully freely and very musically. The Axel Fischbacher Trio will be complemented on 11.12.22 by the young singer and pianist Sophia Oster. Born in Ludwigsburg, she studied jazz piano and singing at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg and is one of the promising newcomers on the German jazz scene. At the "Analog Days 2022" the four have already played a concert together that was recorded in analog and pressed directly onto vinyl - the chemistry was right and more joint performances followed. Besides the great joy of playing jazz standards, Sophia Oster's and Axel Fischbacher's own compositions also flow into the quartet's music again and again, complementing the quartet's sound wonderfully and thus offering a variety of expressive possibilities.
