Babyshambles live at the New Fall Festival

2026 Babyshambles are one of the defining bands of the British indie rock scene of the 2000s. Founded by Peter Doherty, they stand for an unmistakable sound between indie rock, garage rock, punk influences and British songwriting tradition - raw, poetic and deliberately unpolished.

With albums such as Down in Albion, Shotter's Nation and Sequel to the Prequel, Babyshambles reached the top 10 of the UK charts several times. Songs such as Fuck Forever, Albion and Delivery are still among the central references of the British indie sound today. The band combines catchy melodies with literary lyrics and a live intensity that consistently defies smoothing.

After a long break from releasing and touring, Babyshambles recently returned with new music. The current single "Dandy Hooligan" marks the first release in many years and ties in with the characteristic mixture of romance, rebellion and British street poetry.

At the New Fall Festival 2026, Babyshambles will play an exclusive concert in the Radschlägersaal at Rheinterrasse Düsseldorf. For years, the New Fall Festival has stood for special artists in special places - and thus offers the ideal setting for a band whose music not only wants to be heard, but also experienced.
