Backstage? What is that?

Have you always wanted to take a look behind the scenes of the museum, understand what everyday museum life really looks like and get into rooms that are otherwise not open to the public? Then you've come to the right place!

At Backstage, we meet the staff of the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum and the Museum Ludwig in their daily working environment. With exclusive insights and funny anecdotes, we get to know the different professional fields in the museum. From the museum management to the security staff, we would like to discover all areas of museum work with you.

What is jungekunstfreunde?

We are around 500 young "Friends of the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum and Museum Ludwig e.V." up to and including the age of 30. Aware that Cologne has an incomparable art landscape, jungekunstfreunde present art and culture in an avant-garde, contemporary and critical way. We visit well-known and lesser-known art venues and meet the planners, creators and initiators behind them.
