Bandcontest Newcomer Wersten

The "Rock am Bach Wersten" band contest is another key highlight for the local music scene in Düsseldorf-Wersten.

We would like to draw your attention to this special young talent format

The band contest will take place on June 27, 2026 at the AWO Aktiv- und Stadtteiltreff on Immigrather Straße 45 in Düsseldorf-Wersten.
Admission is from 18:00, start at 18:30.
The aim of the event is to offer young musicians from Düsseldorf and the whole of NRW a professional stage and to make it easier for them to enter the live music scene.

The competition is deliberately aimed at newcomers: bands, duos and solo acts up to the age of 27 can take part. Whether own songs or covers - the decisive factors are energy, creativity and stage presence. Each act will be given around 20 minutes to impress the audience and community.
Afterwards, a combined vote from the audience and online voting will decide the winner.

The prize is particularly attractive for up-and-coming artists: the winning band receives a slot on the big stage at the established "Rock am Bach" festival in Düsseldorf Wersten in September.
This makes the contest a direct ticket to a larger live format with a wide reach and audience.
