Before AI Touches Your Business
In the organizer's words:
Many small businesses feel pressure to “do something with AI.” At the same time, it’s often unclear where AI truly adds value, where it merely creates additional complexity, and what decisions should be made before investing time, money, or trust in new tools, workflows, or automation.
This 90-minute online workshop is aimed at founders, small business owners, team leads, and decision-makers who want to take a more strategic approach to AI. The focus isn’t on the next list of tools, but on a clear decision-making framework: How can you tell the difference between hype and real leverage? What questions should a company answer before integrating AI into processes, communication, or internal workflows? And what risks are often overlooked in early AI projects?
The workshop combines brief insights, practical examples, a guided reflection exercise, and a Q&A session. Participants will reflect on where AI is already being used informally in their company, where meaningful opportunities might lie, and where risks or uncertainties arise. The goal is for them to leave the workshop with a clearer perspective on their next AI decisions.
Startup Week Düsseldorf’s contribution is to treat AI not merely as a trend or a technological topic, but as a strategic decision-making issue for founders, small teams, and innovation-oriented companies.
