Betti Kruse – "Wird schon gutgehn" Tour 2027
In the organizer's words:
Chanson Hits with an Edge – Betti Kruse’s Debut Album From easy-listening orchestras to Motown-style guitar: An album that combines humor, heart, and attitude.
Betti Kruse embodies New German beat music—and entertainment with attitude. Her songs are charming, catchy, and danceable, yet always with a bite in their lyrics. Inspired by the smooth orchestral sound of James Last, the brilliant melodies of Bert Kaempfert, the dreamy and cheeky lyrics of Hildegard Knef, and the laid-back guitars of the Motown era, she collaborates with producer Taco van Hettinga to write music that ByteFM describes as “cool chanson-style pop”—“the kind that, unfortunately, nobody made in the ’60s and ’70s.”
On her debut album “Wird schon gutgehn,” observations of everyday life meet big questions, and lightheartedness meets depth. The eleven songs combine the already acclaimed EP *Für alles gibt’s ne Lösung* with brand-new tracks—a mix of tongue-in-cheek social commentary, very personal stories, and unabashed joie de vivre.
Take, for example, “Jeden Tag da fährt ein Zug,” a song about small moments of humanity between Glückstadt and Itzehoe. Or “Schade,” which casts a weary eye on our obsession with self-improvement—and on the irony of escaping the trap yourself just as your partner stumbles right into it.
In “Die Liebe ist ein mieser Gangster,” Betti returns to her single days—not wistfully, but with a wink and the perspective of ten years. “Nur nicht bei Dir,” on the other hand, is a tender ode to love, where you’re allowed to be completely yourself.
The title track, “Wird schon gutgehn,” looks at growing older with cheerful self-deprecation: When life goes too smoothly, it risks becoming boring—so a few minor stumbling blocks might not be such a bad thing after all. And in “High,” arguably the album’s most intense track, Betti tells of the fleeting, flickering happiness of a woman who, in the haze of a bar, escapes for a moment the pressures of her boss, society, and everyday life—no happy ending, but an honest look at small islands in the ocean of routine.
Musically, the album feels like a lively midday interlude for lovers of analog string quartets, dazzling brass sections, and a dash of nostalgia—though without getting stuck in the past. “German chanson-schlager has a new—perhaps even its first—ambassadrice,” was the verdict at the 2024 Reeperbahn Festival. On November 7, 2025, “Wird schon gutgehn” will be released on the Hamburg-based label Backseat—an album that proves how to create entertainment with attitude.
And for those who want to experience the songs live: In January 2026, Betti Kruse will bring her stories, her groove, and her attitude to the stage.
