»Bitch hunt« Ein Abend mit Veronika Kracher

One of them wins a public divorce battle. Domestic violence? Oh where from. Another uses his wife's picture for fake profiles on the Internet. Yet another throws "only" books by women in the garbage can. Where does misogyny begin and end? What used to take place in lurid print media now mostly happens online and in real time. A broad audience enthusiastically participates in hatred and agitation against women. In her essay "Bitch Hunt. Why we love to hate women" (Verbrecher Verlag), sociologist, author and journalist Veronika Kracher ("Incels - Geschichte, Sprache und Ideologie eines Online- Kults") analyzes the many facets of misogyny. Why does social media reinforce everyday misogyny in a patriarchal society? And what role do misogynist campaigns play in the right-wing culture war?
