A wonderful day in April. The sun is shining (hopefully) and the Düsseldorfers are coming to the other side of the Rhine to embellish you with loud guitars, driving bass and infernally crashing drums.
Okay....naturally, there are also people from Cologne. And we're delighted to see that it's possible to do it without making jabs at the cities.
Come to the Blue Shell and join us for a wonderful evening of live music that sounds like a mixed bag from the kiosk.
The Outpace from Düsseldorf (and a bit of Wuppertal) make infernal rock'n'roll with a lot of punk attitude and simply want to take over every stage imaginable...
Bilk 13: bilk 13, founded in Düsseldorf in 2017, is the logical result of exquisite ingredients from punk, alternative and pop. Gloomy verses give rise to unexpectedly rousing choruses that bring worms to life in everyone's ears. German and English lyrics, sometimes even both in one song, develop their pull on the basis of hard-hitting drums and pleading guitars. If you close your eyes, you could easily forget that this is a trio at work.
Richard...
This is not just a name that adorns the royal past in British history. Nor does Richard stand for the great German musical history.
Richard stands for balanced harmonies, melodies and music for those arriving or leaving.
Richard provides a soundtrack that turns every sunset at Fühlinger See into an experience, but could also accompany the end of the world at any time.
Richard is from Cologne and combines melancholy with joy. And if you listen closely, there's hardly a situation in life that the indie-inspired sound wouldn't suit.
A mixture of rocking sounds and quiet, thoughtful passages show that there are people making music here who live every note.
The mixed bag includes a bit of Hamburg school, and is enriched with the sound of bands like The Pixies.
