At almost 13, you’re not a kid anymore!
But that doesn’t help Amy one bit when it comes to planning her vacation. Her mom has her heart set on a mother-daughter retreat at the monastery. No beach, no ocean, no fancy hotel—instead, just a cell behind gloomy monastery walls, which Amy has to share with her annoying little sister (a devil in an angel’s costume). Plus, lousy cell phone reception and not a single selfie spot. OMG! If anyone finds out about her nightmare vacation, she’ll definitely be socially ruined. Amy has only one option left: she has to make sure she gets kicked out. I wonder if that’ll work?

Cally Stronk, born in 1977, studied social and business communication at the Berlin University of the Arts. After working on freelance projects in editing, film, and music, she has been primarily active as a children’s book author since 2010. Whether in rhyme or prose, board books, picture books, lyrical nonfiction, puzzle stories, or adventure tales, she feels at home in a variety of genres. But what she’d love most is to live in a treehouse someday.
