In the organizer's words:
"22 Bahnen", "Windstärke 17" and "Die Assistentin" - three million books sold in three years. In her new novel "1999 Meter über dem Meer", Caroline Wahl tells the story of a young woman who wants to fly high, freely and immodestly. Via Bali and Berlin to the ideal place for con artists: St. Moritz. There, with her bright orange dyed hair, she suddenly finds herself among the rich and beautiful and pretends to be an artist. Which feels surprisingly good for a long time, if it weren't for the handsome man with the ice-blue eyes...
"1999 meters above sea level" is a wild rollercoaster ride through life. A story between despair and comedy and, incidentally, a portrait of our times.
"The author clearly demonstrates: She is a young woman and she has everything in her hands. That is her message."
Süddeutsche Zeitung
