Charles Dickens: Eine Weihnachtsgeschichte - mit Carsten Bülow
In the organizer's words:
Since its premiere in 2007 at the Schauspielhaus Dortmund, Carsten Bülow has been touring all over Germany as Charles Dickens during the Christmas season. Dressed in period costume, he embodies the most popular author of the Victorian era, who reads and recounts his “A Christmas Carol” to his audience on a reading tour. With his Christmas stories, Dickens created a series of fantastical tales in which the eerie is portrayed with a dash of good-natured humor. Carsten Bülow authentically steps into the roles of the characters from the world’s most famous Christmas story. Look forward to a reunion with the spirits of Christmas, the Cratchit family, and Ebenezer Scrooge.
Carsten Bülow, born in 1963, lives in Dortmund. He has been involved in theater since his school days. After 10 years at the Dortmund City Theater, he has been working as a freelance actor, reciter, host, and voice actor since 2010. He has appeared in numerous productions, including at the Wuppertal Opera, the Theater Fletch Bizzel, and on the MS Europa. He is considered a specialist in classical texts, having given approximately 1,000 readings to date.
