Christmas Tale – Ein Musical

Following the overwhelming success of “Paradise now!”, Wolfgang Abendroth has once again teamed up with Martin Baltscheit to retell a biblical story from scratch with the Academy for Choir and Music Theater at St. John’s Church. “Christmas Tale” is a Christmas story that gives voice to the questions of today’s youth: A young boy asks the Archangel Gabriel about the true story of 14-year-old Mary and the widower Joseph, who is to be the father of a child that is not his. “Christmas Tale” explores changing role models, trust in God, and the universal power of love. Majestic angelic choirs and the rhythms of the street bring the biblical narrative into the present day, revealing the true human miracle within it.
