Cologne Guitar Quartet, Thilo Ruck, Dariya Maminova | SoundLinks Festival

The Cologne Guitar Quartet meets Berlin guitarist Thilo Ruck and composer and performer Dariya Maminova for an electrifying evening of contemporary music.

With its diGIT project, the quartet has been exploring new worlds of sound for concert and electric guitars since 2019. Electronic feeds, digital effects, voice and innovative playing techniques expand the expressive possibilities of the guitars and create a contemporary musical language.

As part of diGIT, Dariya Maminova presents a new composition for four electric guitars and voice, which she interprets herself as a soloist. Thilo Ruck presents excerpts from his solo program "AM I TOO MUCH? OR ARE YOU NOT ENOUGH?". The program is complemented by works by Svetlana Maraš (UA) and Nicolas Berge (UA), who explore new forms of listening between noise and silence, pop culture and sound art.
