33 Years of Muffatwerk

As the constellation Canis Major rises in the sky and heralds the warmest time of the year, we at MUFFAT FEST are once again looking forward to three fantastic acts that are as red-hot as these shimmering summer nights. With each band performing in full lineup, we’re celebrating the Muffatwerk’s thirty-third anniversary with a genre-spanning, top-tier gathering of modern songwriting talent. Just last year, JESPER MUNK celebrated his return from a creative hiatus with his “Best of… live” album—and he blew everyone away at his shows with his blues-rooted indie soul. TELQUIST defies the often monotonous musical landscape: With complex beats and unmistakably idiosyncratic, electronic-guitar-heavy pop anthems, he’s considered one of the rising stars in the indie scene. Newcomer CECI delivers emotional depth and wonderfully light, experimental dream pop in an exciting blend of classical instruments and electronics. Rounding out the festivities behind the turntables are indie-pop acts MAX FERDINAND and PHILLINGER—so the dancing can continue until dawn.

After SHARAKTAH unfortunately had to cancel his special show at the last minute, the wonderful GREENWALD and the fantastic PAUL KOWOL are stepping in to delight the crowd with two acoustic pop sets at the Muffatcafé.

SAGURU will kick off the evening at the Muffathalle.
