Even the most pleasant life can feel empty in some respects and even the most arduous life can be perceived as a fulfilling one - in both cases "meaning" seems to make the difference. A pleasant life can lack meaning and an arduous one can be meaningful. Some think so - others are convinced that talk of the "meaning of life" has no meaning at all. So what exactly do we mean when we talk about "meaning" in this context? Discuss the meaning of life with denXte and Prof. Eva Weber-Guskar!

Eva Weber-Guskar has been Professor of Ethics and Philosophy of Emotions at Ruhr-Universität Bochum since 2019. Previously, she was a visiting and deputy professor in Berlin, Vienna, Zurich and Erlangen and held positions in Göttingen and New York.

denXte is an interactive philosophical lecture series in which renowned philosophers present socially topical and scientifically relevant issues in the form of thought experiments. After a short thematic introduction by the philosophers, the audience is invited to explore their own intuition on the topic and - by voting with their smartphone and in a subsequent open discussion - to contribute to the discussion.
