"Königskekse" is the name of a small bakery. Early in the morning, a baker arrives to bake, decorate, and package cookies. And with Christmas just around the corner, the air is filled with the scent of gingerbread, cinnamon stars, vanilla crescents, the hustle and bustle—and stories. For example, the story of Mary and Joseph, who give birth to a child in a stable in Bethlehem—a child who will still be spoken of 2,000 years later. A star shines brightly in the sky. The shepherd with his sheep, the Three Wise Men, and the baker hurry off to find the manger, see the child, and bring him their gifts.
