A storm is brewing, the waves are crashing high, and a ship has run aground: the DEUTSCHLAND.

But no one on board is thinking of giving up: While the six-member crew does everything in its power to get the ship afloat again, one thing above all else applies: “The show must go on!”
The resulting chaos turns into an unprecedented evening of entertainment that oscillates between intimacy, joy, poetry, and absurd humor—entertaining and thought-provoking, honest and optimistic.

With glitz and glamour and a deep appreciation for cultural diversity, the ensemble takes the audience on a musical journey from Romanticism to German rap, shaped by the moving biographies of prominent thinkers, poets, musicians, and visionaries, of bold ideas, artistic radiance, and the hope for a better future.

Even when DEUTSCHLAND is stuck, it carries something precious within it: culture, memory, and the future—and the ability to set out anew time and again.

“You Can Count on Miracles” is a musical and literary theater evening about origins and solidarity. It explores the power of art to set a ship—and perhaps even an entire country—in motion again. Because sometimes it doesn’t take much to get things moving again: a sound, a word, a story—and the trust that miracles can be relied upon.
