In the organizer's words:
"How do we want to live tomorrow?" This is the central question posed by the International Garden Exhibition IGA 2027. When we think about a sustainable future, our diet plays a crucial role. But how do we set the course today for a good, healthy and fair food system?
An urban food strategy offers the opportunity to formulate common goals for the future of our food system. The food strategy for Dortmund is currently being developed in a participatory process and we want to have our say!
At a Discursive Dinner, organized by the Depot and the Dortmund Food Council, we will get into conversation with each other while cooking and eating together and discuss the question of what a food strategy can achieve for Dortmund and the region. How can we make food more sustainable, fairer and more crisis-proof? What changes are necessary and what opportunities does this present for our city?
In order to provide a sound basis for the discussion, two keynote speeches will provide insights into current developments and experience already gained:
Perspective Dortmund
Alessa Heuser, coordinator of the Dortmund food transition action area, presents the current process and explains the objectives of the planned food strategy.
Perspective Oldenburg - a look beyond the horizon
Judith Busch from the Oldenburg Food Council reports on the experiences since the adoption of the local food strategy: Which projects have been initiated? What concrete progress has been made? And what challenges had to be overcome?
Moderation: Ferdinand Grah
