Diskussion | Bekämpfung von sozialen Ungleichheiten im Bildungssystem – Perspektiven aus Deutschland und Frankreich

In the organizer's words:

Social background continues to have a significant impact on educational success—both in Germany and in France.

Against the backdrop of current debates on education policy, the Centre Culturel Français Freiburg, in collaboration with the Institut français Stuttgart, invites you to a Franco-German panel discussion. The focus will be on experiences from France, where targeted programs to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds have been developed since the 1980s—including the “Réseaux d’éducation prioritaire” (REP) and alternative pathways to the Grandes Écoles, such as the “Conventions Éducation Prioritaire.”

Experts from academia, education policy, and the field will discuss the causes of social inequalities, successful support measures, and the limitations and prospects of existing programs.
