The fall program is shaping up to be packed! You can experience the dance, the vibe, and the rhythms of the new projects through short clips from Borrow, At the Heart of It All, and mpower Urban.

AT THE HEART OF IT ALL (INTER-ACTIONS)
Since this production is all about getting to know one another, INTER-ACTIONS invites two new dancers to each performance. Two people who have never met before come together live in front of an audience. The atmosphere is set by a captivating live concert featuring songs created exclusively for this piece.

BORROW—A DANCE PIECE IN DIALOGUE (COTA projects)
Five dancers on stage, five people who move within and between cultures. They tell their stories through the movements of their bodies. They reveal their personal maps to the audience: experiences that guide them; memories that shape their expression and rhythm. This raises questions such as “What belongs to us? What is rooted in our origins—and which ones? What is familiar, and what is foreign?” 

mpower Urban (IN[SIGHT]OUT Festival)
Four days, nine international artists, a festival for all of us: From October 22 to 25, Mannheim becomes a hub for contemporary urban dance arts. Immersive performances, stage productions, installations, workshops, labs, discussion forums, and work-in-progress presentations offer insights into artistic processes and create spaces for encounter, reflection, and exchange—empowering exchange.

FOLK DANCE PARTY 2.0:

Become part of a vibrant Common Dance: It was developed collaboratively over the past few months by artists Hannah Shakti Bühler and Simon Mayer together with people, associations, and groups from a wide variety of backgrounds and traditions. The result invites you to discover styles ranging from Indian, Romanian, and Turkish folk dances to voguing and even the Schuhplattler—to join in and simply dance along.
