"Eating in Taiwan" - Ein Abend mit Sissi Chen mit Nada Assaad
In the organizer's words:
Taiwan is colorful, loud, and multicultural. At every corner, you’ll find food stalls, restaurants, and bubble tea shops; the air is filled with the scent of roasted sesame, freshly baked flatbread, and fried snacks. Everywhere you look, there’s sizzling, clattering, neon lights, and enticing aromas—especially when you wander through one of the lively night markets at midnight.
Sissi Chen takes us on a culinary journey through “Eating in Taiwan”—with stories about food, plenty of inspiration for cooking at home, and, of course, something to sample.
In this conversation, Sissi talks about her months in Taiwan, what makes Taiwanese cuisine so special, and how all those impressions, flavors, and encounters ultimately led to her cookbook of the same name.
Whether you’re a foodie, love discovering new cuisines, or just want to enjoy a special evening at the shared apartment—Taiwan vibes included—all without a plane ticket.
The evening will be moderated by journalist Nada Assaad.
